also surprised Matt and Betsey with a song before their
vows, “Let My Love Open the Door” by Pete Townshend.
They also enjoyed a special duet by two friends, “Noth-
ing’s Gonna Stop Us Now” by Jefferson Airplane after their
vows. Everyone in their party shared a funny or favorite
memory of Matt and Betsey after the dinner, and Betsey’s
grandpa read an emotional poem about the couple. Betsey’s
grandparents created one more special memory: “I will
never forget seeing my grandpa take the electric guitar prop
from the DJ and start head banging during the reception!”
Betsey laughs.
Matt and Betsey were thrilled with their photographer,
Tara Bolgiano of Blushing Crow Studio. While the Cody
area had seen what Betsey describes as “a monsoon of heavy
rainfall” for four days prior to the wedding, it let up just in
time for pictures. “[It] created the most astonishing sunset
rainbow backdrop,” Betsey says. Tara was very creative with
the couple, finding many unique spots (like our cover im-
age!) “She was [expecting and] in her third trimester, but
that didn’t stop her from climbing mountains to get the
photos I dreamed of!” Betsey says. “She was calm, collected,
imaginative and incredibly understanding. I couldn’t have
asked for more!”
Today, the couple continues to reside in Cody, where
Betsey is a Family Practice Physician’s Assistant, and Matt
works with The Western Hunter TV series. They are excited
to raise a family and, one day, retire in what Betsey de-
scribes as their “amazing community.”
