We sat down with Anne Brande of Ludwig Photography, a
fourth generation Wyoming studio, to hear Heather and Joe’s
charming story.
ho knew that working at Walmart would bring
these two together? Heather and Joe first met
in Laramie in 2012 and enjoyed hanging out
with mutual friends. After a few months Joe asked Heather
to a movie and without warning while they were walking,

the Wyoming Wind took Joe’s hat. Heather and Joe both
recount the tale of Joe’s energetic and entertaining one-
block sprint, pursuit and eventual hat retrieval that officially
made them a couple.
All joking aside, Heather and Joe’s proposal, engagement
session, and wedding could not have been more idyllic.
With a deep love of hiking, skiing, and snowboarding
Joe decided to propose to Heather on a ski trip to Copper
