Brady & Tavy W Y O M I N G W E D D I N G S F E A T U R E Written by Kati Hime, Photography by BHP Imaging T avy and Brady were joined in marriage after two years of long-distance dating and a whirlwind engagement with one word serving as ongoing inspiration…’unique.’ Looking at their pictures from the day, it’s clear that the other word that naturally joined it was ‘emotional.’ “We met like most students at the University of Wyoming do, at a party through mutual friends,” Tavy explains. “I had been invited by one of my bridesmaids to tag along that night. Shortly after arriving we were thrown into a game of categories, and my lucky seat was right beside Brady. Stacked up against four large men, the two of us had very few odds of winning the game; we did however have one thing in our arsenal – girlish charm.” After a few short minutes Tavy had Brady ‘hook, line and sinker.’ “Brady told me later my success in the game partially revolved around the fact that I had commented on his truck,” Tavy adds. “Long story short, I had just met the man I was 20 going to spend the rest of my life with…even though he mispronounced my name for the first three dates.” After Brady’s graduation, he moved to Rawlins to work for Kinder Morgan, and Tavy remained a UW student. The two kept up their long distance romance for the next two years, Tavy traveling endlessly to Rawlins to visit Brady. “After those two years we’ve come to assume that if you can make it that long being apart, everything else seems insignificant. In 2012, after two years of driving endlessly I graduated college and moved to Rawlins.” It was Christmas Eve of 2013, and Tavy and Brady’s families had both gathered to celebrate the holiday. “In the middle of cooking, Brady pulled me into the middle of the kitchen and asked if he could have everyone’s attention,” Tavy says. “He was nervous and red so I began to expect what was to follow. He got down on one knee, but
