Acknowledgements Celebrating the philanthropy of the Wykehamical Community and its significant impact on the life of the school, in our most successful year to date. £5.4million raised in total 920 donors supported the school £2.204million from legacies £1.06million specifically for bursaries 132 boys received a bursary USA, Hong Kong and the UK, is leading the quiet phase of fundraising. To date £16.5million has been raised in pledges and cash in. The public phase will be launched at Winchester Match, Saturday 15 June. The Annual Fund & Telephone Campaign Thank you to the 445 parents and OWs who spoke to a young OW over the summer as part of the telephone campaign. Over 50% of the community spoken to supported the Annual Fund, raising over £150,000. Donations to the Annual Fund support a variety of projects including: additional sports coaching, mountaineering and camping equipment, audio equipment for QE11, primary school concerts, conservation of the ancient buildings (including Angel Gate), the artist in residence and, of course, bursaries. The telephone campaign will be taking place this summer, from 15-29 July. The Kingsgate Park Sports Centre Lorna Stoddart The new Sports Centre will befit a school of Winchester’s international standing and will deliver a centre of sporting excellence. It will cost £41million and the first phase, the building of temporary facilities on Kingsgate Park, will begin in the spring.
