Acknowledgements: Benefactors, Patrons, Donations and Legacies With your contributions and commitment to Winchester we have achieved a great deal. During 2016 – 2017 you have donated a total of £3,514,000, all of which is being used to support our main fundraising priority, bursaries, and other much-needed projects. All of these are entirely funded by your support. The Shedden Bursary Fund for Quiristers Five Quiristers were supported by this Fund, enabling them to benefit from a choral education. We are pleased to announce that the £1.5 million endowment target has now been reached. The Golf Bursary Fund In total five boys have benefited from the GBF, three of whom are currently in the school. So far £2.5 million has been secured towards the £3 million target. House Bursary Funds Since their launch five years ago £780,000 has been raised for specific Houses to help boys benefit from a Winchester education. Projects funded by the Annual Fund One-off and regular donations to the Annual Fund, as well as ‘unspecified’ donations are all used to support a variety of projects and are spent in the financial year. These include equipment for the Natural History Society, sports coaching, conservation of the ancient buildings, Beer Cellar refurbishment for Collegemen, design and technology equipment and visiting performers. The Telephone Campaign is an important element of the Annual Fundraising programme. We would like to thank all OWs and parents who took part, who had good conversations with our young OWs, gave them some invaluable careers advice and of course supported the Annual Fund. In total we raised £308,000, plus the additional £31,250 from some very generous parents who agreed to be our challenge donors. The next telephone campaign will be taking place this summer, from 9 July – 23 July. Thank you all for your continued support and encouragement over the past year.
