Taking pledges
Is something we
All must do
And has been done
Throughout history too
Against the abuse
Of substances impure
That kill and blight
And make impure
But there is still another cause
That we should pledge to
Rally round
It is to protect the forest from abuse
Development, roads and any other use
That harms the native species there
Many of which,
Are so rare.
So let us here take the pledge
To occupy, if we cannot
Persuade the council or the OMB
To have a nature victory
Let us be a thousand strong
To take a stand
That wins renown
A thousand brave enough
To take a stand
Will make the politicians understand.
