ABOUT VERONICA LYNCH: July 2004, at the RWA conference, in the middle of a crowded bar, nurse/victim advocate/and malpractice investigator Veronica Lynch was handed her first published novel. The experience, similar to holding her first-born child in her arms, remains with her to this day. She uses the years spent maneuvering the twists and turns of Rejection Road to teach new, and not so new, authors as examples of what to do and not do, who to listen, and not listen to, in order to hold that new baby in their arms. MAY-JUNE 2015 EDITOR’S COMMENT: This article should be very helpful when it comes to creating a reality that only exists in the author’s mind. Notice how much detail is included which gives the fictional location the 3D feeling of a place that really exists. PAGE 24 WRITERS’ TRICKS OF THE TRADE
