I learned the best gift I could give my kids was to teach them to function happily and
responsibly on their own in the world. “Daddy, I’m Pregnant” is the story of how I
learned what it really means to let go and be able to say to your kids, “Everything I
do, I do to help you become the best people you can be, because I love you”.

you may need to visit during your never-ending parenting journey. On that path you

You see, my friends had perfect children and my family thought all of the stress and
challenges in my own family were my fault. I was even told by a therapist, I was
wasting her time and my money because my children were manipulating us both.
To lessen my crisis, I needed a place where other parents would not judge or blame
me, but would listen and suggest. From that need, B.I.L.Y was conceived.
With the opening of my first B.I.L.Y. group, the light at the end of the tunnel was no
longer a train. I was on a new course that would set me in the direction of personal
success with my own children. This ultimately led to thousands of major success
stories with other families throughout the country.

My book Daddy I’m Pregnant is the exposure of my children’s and my survival, my
developing parenting skills with successfully applied consequences, media

just to name a few. As a guest speaker at various speaking engagements I have been
able to introduce our FREE programs to so many families who have youth at risk.

days when Lesli ran away and we had no communication. The therapist I was seeing
told me to start a journal and write a letter to Lesli every night to tell her how I felt
and what was going on in our home and in my life.

Those were the days before computers and I had a Royal Typewriter that I banged
on every night. In 2012 I took out the journal and reread it from cover-to-cover.
When I finished, I knew so many parents could be helped by my story and by finding
support such as I offer through B.I.L.Y., I decided to edit it into a book. It does take a
village, and for so many parents in distress, that village is B.I.L.Y.
