This chronicle is going to be a little bit different. A declaration of love. To the reader that has followed the boy, the man and nowadays the old man’s disarray. Constantly meet people who kept subscribing just because of these lines of words.

Still run into readers

that miss the chronicles in Wheels Magazine.

-In Wheels!! I wrote for them about the same time as the dinosaurs hunted on the moors of Uppsala.

Sometimes I think the time really has stopped for the car enthusiasts. They get their gas at IC, double folds the driver’s license and search for CAR in the soda fridge. It’s great having you along for the ride. Life is a drag racing strip.

You’re up on the bleachers for the first 18 years. Then you’re overly excited sitting in the start pit, get the green light and give the gas all you’ve got in a crazy hurry to pass the finish line. You push it into second gear and have kids, in the roaring third the kids moves out, on four the acceleration levels out and you’re doing 180 and sees the end plummeting into the windshield.

-You only get to ride once. If you’re not Hindu. They ride several times but can get a kick bike next time if they’re unlucky.

Steering wheel covers

It started during my time on Wheels Magazine. I can still find lion yellow steering wheel covers in the attic. I think it came ten of them when I wrote that I wanted but couldn’t find.
