visited USS Midway before we left to go Santa Barbara.

Emelie had to be back in school that Tuesday, so we drove to Santa Barbara to spend a couple of days in the small city. Since I’m from a small town in Sweden, I appreciated to come to Santa Barbara after both LA and San Diego. Santa Barbara is so much more calm, relaxing, and more my kind of town. We stayed at Lemon Tree Inn which is located on State Street. It was a nice hotel with pool and a nice garden. After a couple of days we took Hwy 1 towards San Francisco. We had heard so much about this road and how beautiful it is, and we didn’t

get disappointed.

We have been to Melbourne Australia severeal times the last years and Hwy 1 was a bit like Great Ocean Road. Amazing views!

North of Santa Barbara we did a stop in Solvang, a small danish village with 5000 residents where you can eat delicious meals at different danish bakeries.

At 3pm we checked in at Ragged Point Inn & Resort near the ocean. We were lucky because we got the last room and it was the best one with the nicest view. We sat on the little patio and enjoyed the silence, the view and had a drink.
