I know that many of you Swedes have been to California several times to visit different car events. I have spent more time in Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania than California. In September this fall, me and my wife did a three week roadtrip in California. I should mention that it was more of a tourist trip than a car trip, but sometimes that can be pretty nice.

We flew to LA and had the first three nights booked at Grand View Inn which is located at Hermosa Beach. To be close to the beach is really important if you live in Sweden, which made the choice of hotel pretty easy. We picked up our Camaro conv from the car rental place and when straight to the hotel. It turned out that Hermosa Beach was an amazing beach with a lot of restaurants, bars and a beautiful boardwalk. The hotel offered free parking which always is appreciated. We stayed at the hotel at Hermosa Beach for three days and we also visited Santa Monica, Hollywood and Beverly Hills before we went to LA Union Station to pick up our daughter Emelie. She’s been living in Santa Barbara since January 2014 and is a student at Santa Barbara City College.
