Events At World T.E.A.M. Sports, the exceptional athlete matters. Annually, our New York-based non-profit creates exceptional sporting opportunities that bring together persons with and without disabilities. Our participants know no bounds in aggressively undertaking a wide range of inspiring activities—road and mountain bicycling, mountain climbing, river rafting, sea kayaking and more. Young, developmentally disabled boys and girls, as well as disabled military veterans from the United States, Canada and abroad who served their nations worldwide, actively join the events. Our challenges also appeal to corporate leaders, tradespeople, active and retired military, professionals, homemakers and technical specialists. World T.E.A.M. Sports athletes ride bicycles and hand cycles around the world, paddle the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans, raft the Colorado River, expertly navigate high mountains and deserts and climb high peaks in North America, Africa and Asia. World T.E.A.M. Sports event participants overcome physical, emotional and technical challenges and discover their lives change long after an event’s conclusion. New opportunities, gained confidence and close friendships offer a path for a better, more satisfying life.
