A corporate volunteering ( CV ) culture is an integral part of CSR , a concept that promotes responsible attitude towards communities . The introduction of corporate volunteering allows businesses to give more than financial support and that is an employees ’ time . The significance of the corporate volunteering is important and benefits both volunteers and beneficiaries . CV helps us to develop social competences , meet new people , receive satisfaction from doing good work ; share and acquire new skills . In 2016 , more than 250 JTI Kazakhstan employees took part in campaigns with outstanding 500 working and 70 hours of personal time donated .

Donations to charity stores JTI employees collect essential items on a regular basis for low-income , large families , unemployed people and persons who have lost their home and these items available through charity stores . Experience has shown that despite the fact that such volunteering projects are common for companies , they always remain in high demand .
With 257 employees in the year 2016 , we managed to make a great positive change . Only during this year , we spent almost 500 working hours volunteering and covered more than 150 beneficiaries , dozens of families and several NGOs . Engagement with voluntary sector allowed us to better understand needs of people we bring help to , improve our relations and build a solid position of responsible corporate citizenship . As a result , corporate volunteering became a practice that allowed us to bring positive changes not only to the community , also to our employees as well .
