negative answers because they do not fit
into the field. With all their skills and IQ

them because they do not reflect what
the company requires from a dress-code
perspective. “You cannot join a flock of
eagles wearing a sparrow’s feathers”.
I am surprised when people say they hate
what they have in their wardrobe. Clothes
protect your skin, as your own armor just
as it was so important for knights long ago.
Clothes absolutely influence work success.
You will never get a second chance to
make a first impression. We all better try
to comply with the sphere where we work.

way to pick an ideal wardrobe?

How does the style of clothes
influence a work success?
I often repeat that a well-dressed fool
is still a well-dressed fool. Intellect, hard
work, knowledge, skills and ambition
influence a business success.
However, the style of clothes does influence
a first impression and determine how we fit
into the structure we’ve just entered.

This is such an often used word – a ‘box’.
This is absurd to try to put a woman in a
box. Why not put her in a can and label it
on top of everything?
All that women and men must do is to be
comfortable. Clothes should contribute
to the feeling of comfort. But, the word
‘comfort’ contains many concepts. It
includes the bodily comfort (ergonomics) –
no squeezing and scratching the skin, but
dressing you up. Our main goal is to pick out
any outfit we will feel as if we are a queen.
There is also the price for clothes.
Budgeting is another important point
for us. There are clients who feel
uncomfortable wearing clothes that are
cheaper than 200 euros. There are people
for whom buying expensive clothes is
unacceptable.
The highest efficiency for female clothes
and shoes, things that are necessary for
her, are: beige pumps (pointy high heel
shoes) that might be made of suede,
pencil-skirt or pencil-dress – up to her
choice (some of my female clients do
not wear pants at all), two to three basic
blouses to easily mix with other clothes,
and scarves as accessories. The rest
should be picked according to weather:
trench, coat, shoes.
When we ask men what are their highest
expectations for female style, they usually
mention feminine looks: they like women
wearing skirts, dresses, revealing their
collar bones, wrists. Every outfit must
have a gender-specific aspect to it. ‘A
must’ thing in other situations is what
people feel comfortable wearing and is
appropriate for their context.
What is the best to wear for men?
What do you think about men who
consider fashion is a pure female
prerogative and put on any outfit that
falls out of their wardrobe?
This is simple for men. The best outfit
for them is the business suit. It should be
well fit. But better to have several suits of
good quality. Revising the male wardrobe,
we’ve had situations when we got rid of
things and men had nothing more to put
on the next day.
We have clients who like to wear
whatever falls out of their wardrobe.
They better not confuse their wardrobe
with their wife’s. We call this type of man
a male child in a domestic sense. They
might be very successful in business.
