International Investment Forumwas held from the
period of April,11 to April,12,2017 year, more than500
representatives of business, potential investor
companies, national companies and institutes of
developmentlocal public authorities, participants from
near and far-abroad countriesand diplomatic missions
representatives.
Informing on the investment potential of Atyrau region,
investments attraction in specific investment projects
and the region economy was the main purpose of the
Forum holding.
The Plenary session speakers were:Michel Petermans
- the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador
of Belgium in the Republic of Kazakhstan, Natalya
Levinson – the Vice-governor – deputy Prime-Minister
of Orenburg region for financial and economic policy.
Maxim Shikhalov – the Minister of Industry and Energy of
Saratov region of RF. UzakbaySuleymenovichKarabalin
- the vice-chairman of "KAZENERGY" ALE
Association, the Board member of JSC "National
company"KazMunayGas". BolatZhamishev – The
Chairman of the Board in “Kazakhstan Development

Chairman of Committee of Investments of the Ministry
of Investments and Development of RK and others.

Two Panel sessions have taken place within the IV
International Investment Forum: "Oil and gas cluster
as one of instruments of the region competitiveness
increase" and "Project management or investments
efficiency conditions".
Efficiency development aspects of cluster approach in
oil and gas sector were discussed within the first panel
session.
In the process of the second panel session the
participants have discussed the investment
opportunities aspects,influences of tax and labor law on
investment climate,"Business practicum" presentation
and some other subjects.
AtyrauAkimat has signed 9 memorandums on the
total sum of 3,3 billion US dollars during the "ATYRAU
INVEST - 2017" Forum.
Atyrau region is the leader among regions of
Kazakhstan in the volume of the involved investments
over a period of several years. Following the results
of 2016 the investment volume has made more than
2 trillion tenge from which more than 1 trillion tenge
are the external investments. At the same time the
industrial output has made more than 4,4 trillion tenge
which is a record among all regions of the Republic.
