Colour sells. I wonder how many times we have heard that said? It is true that the advent of colour photography in the 1960’s did mean a decline in the art of black and white, but thankfully it is now making a comeback. Photography is about creating a memory, and we all remember things differently. It is also about art, and we all view art differently. Photography is about recording, but it is also about creating, showing the world that there is more to the world than what the human eye can see. In the world of flowers we see the colour and tend to ignore the structure of the bloom. Once you start looking in greyscale, you see the structure for the first time. It allows the viewer to marvel at the construction, and leaves to the imagination what colours lay beyond. Website = www.worldimagemag.com Page 9 email = [email protected]
