A word to the wise...

"Study! There are tons of books and resources that anyone, that wants to get involved with music can look to, to educate themselves. That's extremely important. And realize that as an artist, your also a business. Whether your making money at what your doing or not. Your a business, and have to conduct yourself as such. And find a niche. Find a void that needs to be filled, and fill it! If being the next Jeezy, or Jay-Z or whoever, was your "plan", and it's not panning out, find something else. A good business person, will find ways to make something out of nothing. You only fail when you stop trying!"

Q: Top 5 song of all time?

A: 1. "The Ghetto" by the Rakim Allah, 2. "Stand My Ground" by Tom Petty 3. "Stairway to Heaven" by Led Zepplin 4. "Radio" by LL Cool J 5. "War" by Robert Nesta "Bob" Marley.

Q: Royal Radio, how do you pick the music you play?

A: It's has to have the "thump." There's nothing like putting on a song, and soon as you hear the beat you get goosebumps. That, and lyrics. Socially responsible, and lyrics that raise the consciousness of the listener, are my preferrence. Be it soul, hip hop, jazz, rock, reggae or whatever. If it moves me, it gets played. With that said, I understand every artist is not in that same space creatively, and I would like to accomadate our listener varying taste.

Q: What in the future for Royal Radio?

A: Growth! We're in the infancy stages. And just like new parents there's a period of learning, and adjusting to something new. So, right now, it's about learning the ropes, putting together a well rounded show, and developing a loyal fan base.
