Season Recap: The 2014 Wolves were a back and forth team all season, just missing the GNAC
championship tournament.
Western Oregon had multiple three-game unbeaten streaks on the year, including a streak of five that saw
it tie Central Washington twice and GNAC regular season champion Western Washington once.
The Wolves also suffered a few two-game losing streaks and ended the season on a three-game slide.
It took until the last weekend of play to decide the fate of Western Oregon
and it came close to making its second appearance in the tournament in as
many years.
Five of the teams eight losses came by one goal and their four ties were the
highest in conference play.
Goalie Amanda Rose Johnson was named to the GNAC first team for the
second consecutive year, making 81 saves and ranking in the top 35 nationally
in goals-against average. WOU also ranked in the top three in the conference
in shutouts with seven.
Makana Pundyke led the Wolves
in goals in 2014.

Season Recap: After a 0-3 start to begin the season, the Crusaders rallied for their most successful stretch
of the year.
Northwest Nazarene went on a five game unbeaten streak and in the
third week of the season was tied for first place in the conference.
After this run however the Crusaders only won two of their last 12
matches, finishing tied for sixth.
Lexi Fesenbek set a new NNU record for
assists in a season with 12.
There were a lot of positives that came out of the 2014 season for the
Crusaders. They ranked in the top four in the conference in shots, points,
assists and saves.
Junior Lexi Fesenbek not only led the conference in assists, but broke the school record for assists in a
season with 12 while ranking 19th in the nation in that category.
Freshman goalie Daniele Ortiz saw more shots come her way than anyone else in the conference, but still
ranked in the top four in the GNAC in save percentage.
