what was going on. We asked him “Hey. . . Do you know what you took?” At first, I began to get angry because this is something that I’ve dealt with for most of my life with my dad but then the compassion of Christ took over. The Holy Spirit took over and I just hugged my father said, “You know what? Dad, you have to understand. . . God loves you so much because He’s graced you to live another day and to come out of this. And my mom was at home. Normally, she’s at work during that time of day but she was working the night shift that week. If she was not at home, he would have been dead because there would have been no way that I would have known that he overdosed. That was totally just a moment of God’s Power in action and Sovereignty in that moment. I’m so thankful for everybody that did stop and pray because I truly believe in the power of prayer and the power of agreement. I told him, “You have so many people praying for you!” That was a blessing! And I’m open about that stuff too because I don’t come from a perfect background but God can still do so much- even in the midst. . . It doesn’t matter what your background is.
