It’s been said so many times, follow your heart. I really believe it’s
the key to my success. I started my company, Little Blue Bug studios,
after working a long time at a large corporation in the Corporate
Communications department as a senior designer, as well, prior to that,
my experience in a few design studios both in Calgary and in Edmonton.
I wanted creative freedom! I broke out on my own and Blue Bug Studios
was born! Can you believe it’s been over 14 years!
Not only am I an international award winning designer and owner of a bustling Graphic
Design Studio, but as well an accomplished artist that leads workshops, custom
commissions for art, mural work and have a list of art collectors that enjoy and collect my
work as well!
Owning a multidisciplinary studio gives me the ability to offer many talents/ideas to my
clients, allowing them choice and versatility when we work together.
Through this journey, I have met some wonderful people, building friendships and giving
my all to every client I work with along the way. I believe following my heart and caring
so much about others has lead me on this wonderful path I am on! My passion, my heart,
is touching every project I take on with drive and dedication to make the end result what
the client envisioned! I work hard for all my friends and my drive to deliver has built my
company to what it is today!
Through my experience in all facets of design, production, having great visual sensibility
and great knowledge of as well the technical side of design, website design and
development, I am a strong asset to a client in helping them succeed! I work hard and
results show in all my clients work!
From designing 200 page annual report for a large corporate company, design/production
for a newspaper, a small postcard run for an new business just starting out their marketing
brand, creating a brand and visual identity for a land development firm, commission for
a wedding gift, custom mural for a school, or development and design of a new clients
website, I take on each clients needs and make them paramount in my job for their success.
I am so pleased to work with Dorothy - Womanition to design and produce this lovely
magazine. I just love working on this project!
