The Northtown Center has
it all! Whether you are a hockey
buff or a seasoned figure skater,
the family-friendly complex is
equipped to serve with four ice
pads, one Olympic size rink and
three NHL size rinks. The facility
is home to Amherst
Youth Hockey, the
Amherst Skating Club
and Performax Hockey
adult league.
Each
group offers a variety
of programs including
youth house leagues, learn-to-skate
lessons for all ages and organized
leagues for grown-ups.
Facility enhancements include
amenities geared toward patrons of
all ages whether they are playing,
viewing or on the go. The Center
boasts a full-service restaurant,
concessions and vending, and is
home to Proformance Sports
Training (personal training
and fitness facility), the Town of
Amherst Youth & Recreation
Department and Front Row Sports
(pro-shop).
Community general skate
offerings include something for
everyone! Morning toddler skate,
several open skates, 18 & over hockey
scrimmages, senior general skates
as well open figure
skating sessions just
to name a few!
