It also is family-owned and features
Amish cheese and other local products.
It actually sells a ton of cheese each
week, as well as a variety of other lo-
cally made goodies including chocolate
covered bacon, baked goods, chocolate,
meats and mustards. Bring a cooler
because you will surely want to bring
some home.
Nearby is the P. Graham Dunn Fac-
tory Store that offers another great shop-
ping opportunity with the wow factor.
If you are like me, you probably never
heard of the company. It mainly sells
wholesale to home décor stores around
the country, Canada, and beyond. You
have probably seen their wooden carved
inspirational signs and home décor
items in stores, businesses, and homes.
Visitors enter the massive two-sto-
ry lobby. Large ornate plaques fill the
walls and the lobby houses one of the
state’s largest murals. It is a popular stop
for families during the Christmas season
who come to enjoy the spectacular dé-
cor and 25-foot Christmas tree.
The 20,000-foot gift shop on the
second floor allows a birds-eye view
of the 160,000-foot factory floor below
where Amish and “English” work along-
side each other. (Amish people refer to
non-Amish as “English.”) The fam-
ily owned company opened its doors in
1976 a few miles from the family farm
that has housed seven generations.

Lasers in the store are available
for custom engraved gifts on the spot. I
left with an engraved frame that will be
the perfect holiday gift when combined
with a photo. The factory outlet section
of the store always attracts bargain hunt-
ers.
