National School Choice Week Chess
Tournament Join us for a celebration of
educational diversity in WNY and some
great chess fun, 9:30am-5pm. Chess is
an activity that brings together students
from all schools in WNY: Public, charter,
religious AND private, as well as the home-

Castle Play Explore the majesty of castles.
Build a giant fortress using Builder Blox
or cardboard Archiquest blocks. Create a
paper castle and personalize it with doors,
windows, and flags. Act out an adventure
using puppets and catapult foam balls at a
dragon to save the day. Visit the museum’s
Build, Drive, Go exhibit to create soaring
towers with king-size blocks. Included

Winterfest It's a winter wonderland of fun
on Saturday, January 26, 12pm-2:30pm at
the Harlem Road Community Center. This
FREE features outdoor activities including
horse drawn carriage rides and games

Crime Investigation Group Overnight
Explore and experience the Buffalo Museum
of Science at night! Enjoy a fun filled
evening, including hands-on science, crafts,
a snack, movie, breakfast and access to all
the museum’s exhibits. Help investigate
a mystery while gaining an understanding
of how police officers and scientists solve

Sensory-Friendly Sunday Enjoy The Strong
before it opens to the public at an exclusive
event designed for children with special
sensory, developmental, or physical needs.
Explore the museum, from 9am-12pm, in
a comfortable and accepting environment
that features fewer guests, light and sound
reduction, extra visual safety signage, and
designated quiet areas that include sensory
friendly toys. Also enjoy story readings
and a free visit to the relaxing Dancing
Wings Butterfly Garden before noon. Space
is limited to 250 guests. Children must
be accompanied by an adult. Registration
