The recipes use inexpensive ingre-
dients found in most households. Slime
is made from different combinations and
varying mixtures of cornstarch, water, food

rax (found in the detergent section of your
supermarket). You can add glitter to your
slime or if you’re creating an edible ver-
sion, you can mix in gummy bears, gummy

The “secret” ingredient in homemade
playdough is cream of tartar, which is the
thickening agent and can be found in the
supermarket spice aisle.

conut oil, food color, and a tiny bit of water
— plus quite a few other “moldables.”
