WYOMING QUILTS:
in Green River and Gos
We are pleased to bring you a tale of two stories, carefully pieced together as the fabric of a handcrafted
quilt. The photography in this feature was generously provided by the City of Green River and the
Quilting on the Green event – please read on for information about this year’s June schedule! The
following article, “The Someday Quilt,” is the story of the Goshen County Quilters, on the opposite end
of the state from Green River yet equally as dedicated to this time-honored art form. The Goshen County
group shares their 22 year history and work within the community – as well as the changes that they
have seen occur in the technology of quilting. Their annual event will be held in September 2016 – be sure
to mark your calendars for both and enjoy a road trip across Wyoming in the process!
