WELCOME BEN JOSKE
We are thrilled to announce Ben Joske has come
on board as our new Community Fundraising &
Events Manager.
Ben will oversee both the Community Fundraising
and Events team and the newly developing dedicated
Volunteer Fundraising team to ensure harmonious
fundraising within your local community. This represents
a strategic decision to bring together these two teams
and identify opportunities and resources required to
ensure the success of community engagement whether
it be a volunteer or third party led fundraising event.
The Alice Springs branch Swim-A-Thon featured
in this newsletter is an excellent demonstration of
the combined power of volunteers and community
fundraisers, which made over $25,000 with the
support of Team Wish.
Ben brings with him some fantastic experience working
in the sporting sector in fundraising, marketing and
communications, including most recently as Commercial
Development Manager for the Richmond Football Club.
He is based in the Melbourne office and is
looking forward to working with all of you. Ben is
contactable via phone on 03 9426 0737, or email
[email protected] ■

Thank you
We would like to say thank you to our volunteers for
your fantastic collaboration on some of our recent
partner events. Your engagement in these events is
so valued and our partners often comment on what a
great network of passionate people we have involved
with Make-A-Wish. Thank you for your support.
It’ Tax time!
s
With tax time approaching, now is the perfect time
to get out in the community and ask businesses if
they have made a tax time donation!
If you have any questions or leads you’d like us to
follow up, please feel free to get in touch with the
business partnerships team.
Barry Plant
We are pleased to be celebrating a new partnership
with Barry Plant Real Estate.
We’d like to acknowledge the Melbourne Branch for
cultivating this relationship locally and introducing
the Business Partnerships team to grow it from a
$2,000 relationship to a $20,000 partnership.
This is a great example of a national partnership
growing from a local introduction, and we look
forward to working closely with volunteers to develop
further partnership opportunities. ■
