Sharing Updates VOLUNTEER SURVEY We are pleased to announce the 2014 Make-A-Wish Volunteer Engagement Survey will be rolled out next month. Some of you may remember participating in the 2013 survey where we received useful feedback that has helped us focus on areas for improvement over the past year. The 2014 survey will continue to measure the overall level of volunteer engagement with Make-A-Wish and assess general attitudes to a number of volunteer-related issues. The survey will be conducted by Culture Amp – an independent partner – to ensure that all data and information provided will be kept strictly confidential. No individuals will be able to be associated with specific responses. We encourage you to be open and honest in your feedback so that we can truly understand areas of improvement and areas for opportunity to ensure that we have a positive volunteer culture. It’s up to all of us to develop and maintain a great environment for volunteering, so please take this opportunity to share your thoughts and feedback. You will receive an email with a link to the survey to complete online in the week commencing 2 June 2014. Please ensure that you have submitted your responses by 20 June 2014. ■ COMMUNITY SUPPORTER BADGES We are pleased to announce that two brand new community supporter badges have now been uploaded onto Wish Hub. These badges were created after receiving feedback from our volunteers of the need to recognise the ongoing support you all receive in your local community. They can be given to any supporters/sponsors in your local community and may be used to demonstrate their support of Make-A-Wish e.g., on their advertising material such as websites, flyers or shop fronts. These badges will be updated each year so your supporters will be able to demonstrate their ongoing support year on year. ■ Volunteer Newsletter | Issue 3 2014 Page 14
