OPERATION MAKE-A-WISH A SIZZLING SUCCESS
World Wish Day was celebrated across Brisbane on 29 April with the help and support of the
Australian Army’ 2nd Combat Engineer Regiment. The soldiers were out in force collecting at 20
s
locations to raise money for Make-A-Wish.
As well as a sausage sizzle at King George Square, the army brought along Bushmaster armoured vehicles and
detection dogs for the public to see. Local wish children came along on the day to show their support and meet
the soldiers.
A big thank you to the Australian Army and our volunteers – Operation Make-A-Wish 2014 raised over $27,000! ■
Albany branch and their local Bunnings store has a
