Middle School Track and Field
The athletes had opportunities to compete in meets against other schools. The Firebird athletes broke personal
records in all events in which they participated. The team worked hard all season to achieve their personal goals.
The team will miss the eighth graders who provided leadership: Dakota Kangas, Perles Payne, and Madison
Anderson. Brian Lievens coached the boys’ team and Steven Williams coached the girls’ team and will be
missed next year as he is retiring.

Track and Field
The team had a good season. The athletes
practiced hard and most of the athletes
demonstrated substantial improvement
since the beginning of the season. The
athletes competed well and won multiple
ribbons to represent WSD proudly.
WSD had seven athletes competing at the State
Summer Games in Stevens Point June 5th thru
7th. Results are as follows:

The team was coached by Ron Corrigan and Cheryl Trunk with the assistance of Anne
Lenichek and Tonya Fulton who were instrumental to the program with all of their help.
