High School Boys Basketball
Season Record: 3-17
WSD vs Indiana JV 47-14
The Firebirds opened the Central States Schools for the Deaf tournament in Jacksonville, Illinois with a
huge win over Indiana JV. The boys had outscored Indiana JV by 33 points when the game ended. Sophomore
Damon Hopp led the scoring with 15 points with 8 rebounds. Junior Gunner Hahn chipped in 10 points and
9 rebounds. On the defensive side, senior Lennon Morrissey and junior Tanner Evans had 7 and 6 steals
respectively.

WSD vs Pennsylvania Deaf 33-67
In their third game of the CSSD
tournament WSD faced Pennsylvania
Deaf. The Firebirds had their final
opportunity to come home with a trophy
but Pennsylvania ruined their chances.
Sophomore Damon Hopp scored 13 points
while junior Gunner Hahn was able to add
10 points. Hahn collected 10 boards while
sophomore Zominique Walker had 6 steals
to lead the defense. The Firebirds placed
fourth at the 2013 CSSD tournament.
