WSD vs. Eastbrook Academy - 46-52
WSD ended the consecutive double digit losses
against opponents by only losing by 6 points. WSD
went into the locker room for the halftime leading
Eastbrook by a point but Eastbrook was able to come
back against the Firebirds by scoring 7 more points
than the home team by the end of the game. Senior
Markiese Mims provided offense leadership with 23
points which was half of the team’s total points. Junior
Gunner Hahn rebounded 7 times while Mims and
Sophomore Damon Hopp rebounded 6 and 5 times
respectively.
WSD vs. Trinity Academy - 44-61
WSD was not able to defend its home oor against
Trinity Academy. Trinity opened the game with
scoring in torrents of 41 points to WSD’s 15 by the
halftime whistle. WSD fought hard in the second half
with 29 points but it was not enough for a win. Senior
Markiese Mims led the offense with 20 points while
Sophomore Damon Hopp added 12 points. Mims and
Hopp showed leadership on the boards with 8 and 6
each respectively.
WSD vs. Eastbrook Academy - 38-66
The Firebirds struggled against Eastbrook Academy
on their home oor. Eastbrook blitzed the Firebirds
with the total of 29 points to 21 points by halftime.
The Firebirds only scored 17 points in the second half
