WSD vs. Metro Deaf (CSSD) (Lost) 12-25, 13-25
WSD vs. Iowa Deaf HC (Lost) 12-25, 17-25, 26-24, 19-25
WSD lost to Metro Deaf for the first time in this
tournament. Luckily, it was still in the round robin stage
not affecting WSD’s bracket position. Hannah Rees helped
lead the team with 12 sets and 9 serve receivings. KaYoua
Xiong, Lyssa Matsche and Anna Dorst had 14, 11 and 10
serve receivings respectively.
During the homecoming game, WSD firebirds played
valiantly against Iowa but lost in four games. Hannah was
the star to the home crowd with 26 sets, 7 attacks, 7 service
points and 22 serve receivings. Alexis Christ also added
16 sets, 6 attacks, 6 service points and 30 serve receivings.
KaYoua Xiong should not be ignored with her performance
of 5 sets, 7 service points, 36 serve receivings and 6 digs.

WSD vs. Michigan Deaf (CSSD) (Won) 25-15, 25-22
In the first game of the bracket portion of the CSSD
tournament, WSD landed on the winning side after
defeating Michigan. Several players contributed to this
victory. Lyssa Matsche had 7 service points and 11 serve
receivings. Anna Dorst had 6 service points and 11 serve
receivings. Hannah Rees excelled with 24 sets, 4 attacks,
3 service points and 11 serve receivings. Alexis Christ
impressed with 13 sets, and 7 attacks. KaYoua helped out
with 16 serve receivings.
WSD vs. Metro Deaf (CSSD) (Won) 9-25, 25-17, 25-20
WSD earned a spot on the CSSD championship match with
the hard-fought and challenging victory over Metro Deaf.
Lyssa Matsche led the team with 10 service points and 10
serve receivings. KaYoua contributed to the victory with 4
attacks, 6 service points and 20 serve receivings. Hannah
Rees chipped in with 21 sets and 16 serve receivings.
WSD vs. Illinois Deaf (CSSD) (Lost) 7-25, 22-25
WSD played Illinois Deaf in the CSSD tournament
championship match. WSD played valiantly against
powerhouse Illinois Deaf but were unable to bring home
the prize. Hannah Rees was the leader of the team with 13
sets, 5 attacks, 3 service points and 19 serve receivings.
Alexis Christ had 19 sets, 3 attacks and 11 serve receivings.
WSD vs. Abundant Life Christian School (Lost) 12-25,
25-22, 18-25, 26-24, 10-15
After playing very well in CSSD tournament, WSD lost in
a hard-fought game against Abundant Life in five matches.
Hannah Rees led the team with 30 sets, 4 attacks, 9 service
points and 34 serve receivings. Alexis Christ had 27 sets,
10 attacks, 8 kills, 6 service points and 22 serve receivings.

WSD folded under the withering attacks from Union Grove
Baptist in three straight matches. Alexis Christ had the best
numbers with 19 sets, 4 attacks and 16 serve receivings.

WSD vs. Rock County (Lost) 13-25, 9-25, 22-25
WSD fought hard against Rock County Christian but was
dispatched in three games. KaYoua led the team with 7
service points and 13 serve receivings. Hannah Rees and
Alexis Christ had 17 and 16 sets respectively.
WSD vs. Waukesha Christian (Lost) 7-25, 25-22, 10-25
WSD fought hard and was able to win a game against
Waukesha Christian. In spite of the fierce efforts on the part
of WSD Fireladies, Waukesha Christian still won. KaYoua
was the fiercest of the Fireladies with 6 service points, 22
serve receivings and 3 digs. Hannah Rees and Alexis Christ
had 21 and 13 sets respectively.

WSD vs. Kansas Deaf (GPSD) (Lost) 17-25, 12-25
In the opener game of the GPSD tournament, WSD lost to
Kansas Deaf in two straight matches. Hannah Rees was the
one of two players with the double digits statistic with 15
sets and 13 serve receivings. The other one was KaYoua
Xiong with 14 serve receivings.
WSD vs. Minnesota Deaf (GPSD) (Lost) 11-25, 22-25
WSD tried to catch Minnesota Deaf in the second match
but was not able to close the deal to extend the game into
third match. There were three players with double digits
statistics. Hannah Rees had 11 sets and 12 serve receivings.
KaYoua Xiong and Alexis Christ had 16 and 10 serve
receivings respectively. Amanda Feliciano continued to be
the block leader of the team with 5 solo blocks to her credit.
