Student Body President Anna McCartney reports: “Homecoming was a blast this year. The whole school
was filled with spirit and it really made you feel proud you belong to WSD. There was a spirit contest
to see which class had the most spirit and I am proud to say the class of 2014 took it this year. Both
volleyball and football were competitive and fun to watch. The dance afterwards followed a fall theme
with caramel apples, popcorn, and much fun. Homecoming 2011 was truly a memorable experience.”

The Student Body Council
sponsored the Homecoming
dance on Saturday night. A
great time was had by all the
athletes from both WSD and
the Iowa School for the Deaf.
