The business community in Wirral is celebrating
following the Wirral Business Awards 2017
The winners of the Wirral Business Awards 2017 have been
named at a glittering gala dinner held at Thornton Manor
and attended by over 500 leading business people.
Organised by Wirral Chamber of Commerce, and supported
by headline sponsors - Progress to Excellence Group Ltd and
Russell Taylor Group - 11 awards were handed out to businesses,
entrepreneurs and young people.

Paula Basnett, CEO of Wirral Chamber of Commerce, said, “This
was a night when businesses came together and celebrated success
and achievement. The businesses clearly reflect our sector diversity
which has gained Wirral a reputation of excellence and one which
not only innovates but supports success.”
Joe Mullin, Production Manager at Capital Reinforcing, Wirral’s
Outstanding Business of the Year 2017, commented, “Capital
Reinforcing saw great potential in Wirral for our company and for us
to have been named the Outstanding Business is a fantastic honour
for the organisation, staff and management.”
The awards welcomed a record number of applications,
demonstrating Wirral’s business sector strength and the positive
impact it is having on economic growth. The night was hosted
by award-winning journalist and Editor of BusinessCloud, Chris
Maguire, with special guests Ranvir Singh, Political Editor of ITV
Good Morning Britain, and Steve Rotheram, Liverpool City Region
Metro Mayor.
An awards raffle was also held which raised £5,000 for Autism
Together, Wirral Chamber of Commerce chosen charity for 2017.
