W SOCIETY L THE FORSHAW GROUP 70TH BIRTHDAY The Forshaw Group celebrated their 70th Year Anniversary with a prestigious visit from Her Royal Highness, The Princess Royal to their new offices and Apprentice Academy Training Centre in Knowsley Industrial Park. The occasion was supported by the Lord Lieutenant of Merseyside, The High Sheriff, The Mayor & Mayoress of Knowsley, the Chief Executive and Leader of Knowsley Council and Knowsley Chamber of Commerce. Following her introduction to the company, Directors Liam Hanlon & Glen Simpson along with Her Royal Highness spent the afternoon meeting and engaging with over 250 invited guests. Everyone in attendance including The Forshaw Group staff has been a wonderful part of the history that has helped create the ethos & culture of the The Forshaw Group family. Tributes of remembrance were made to the company’s founder Les Forshaw. In attendance was the Royal Marines Association and the Special Boat Service Association. A tour of the company operations and specialist Fire, Flood and catastrophe management facilities were followed by introductions and demonstrations from the specialist restoration teams and building skills tradesmen. The Long and valued service of a number of employees were recognised before a tour of the new Apprentice Academy training Centre. The Corporate and Social responsibility of The Forshaw Group was demonstrated with the attendance of over 20 diverse community and charitable organisations including tri-4-life, Brett Jones 10K, The Across Mersey Swim, Wallasey Amateur Boxing Club, Liverpool Heartbeat, Rotary International & Lions Club International. The Forshaw Group Professional Services, Training Agencies & Insurance Industry Clients were all represented alongside the award winning Insurance Industry National Apprenticeship Academy.
