WIRRAL LIFE 2018
With the incredible success of the inaugural Wirral Life Awards
fresh on our minds, we look back at the important business
events of 2018.
The Revolution Four team have a bit of a work hard / play hard
reputation. Earned, in part, by the amount of time & effort they put
into events. We quizzed founders, Nik Ellis & Justine McLaughlin,
about how they determine which events to attend & what they
consider important elements when deciding.
Justine said, “Events like the Wirral Life Awards & the City of
Liverpool Awards present a myriad of opportunities. We can bring
clients to entertain, which is a great way to get to know them & their
company’s ethos; it gives us a huge advantage when partnering with
them.
Nevertheless, Revolution Four have attended the International
Business Festival & TEDx in Liverpool, Adobe Summit & the
Festival of Marketing in London plus Web Summit in Lisbon this
year.
Nik explained, “I feel we learn a great deal from conferences.
They provide a diverse range of subjects that vastly improve our
knowledge base. Most of them can be inspirational too & often give
us insights into new ideas or technology. This is important to us to
enable us to provide cutting edge solutions for our clients.”
As part of the ‘play hard’ side Justine said, “A great example is
our recent Tough Mudder entry. Loads of team bonding whilst
raising funds for the charity we support, the Tim Cogley Cardiac
Screening Foundation.”
Our staff also love attending, especially when we’re nominated for
an award (and we have been five times this year). It’s always great
to involve them, brilliant for team bonding & to ensure they feel
part of the family.” Nik concluded, “We treat conferences, awards & play stuff as an
opportunity to learn, bond as a team, network and increase our
brand awareness. If we can have a little fun along the way, then all
the better.”
Many business events are conferences rather than award
