LOCAL DENTIST’S OPEN EVENING
Thursday 8th March saw the relaunch of Wallasey Orthodontics
after 4 months of refurbishment and renovation.
The evening was hosted by Richard Gibson (Owner and Consultant
Orthodontist) to show the local dentists the new facilities on offer
and enlighten them about the new techniques and appliances
offered for both NHS and private patients.
The tour of the facilities took in the new downstairs treatment
room – upgrading the practices disability access and all set to
receive their new iTero intra-oral scanner which will be arriving in
the next few weeks. The scanner will mean an end to the routine
use of impressions in the practice and will allow for 3D planning
becoming a valuable tool for illustrating treatment outcomes
during the consent process.
Richard discussed in detail with a knowledgeable audience the
practices full range of appliances for the correction of prominent
teeth – one of the most common situations in our country – and
the evidence base associated. He outlined conventional therapy
and unveiled some appliances that only his practice is using locally
– to improve both success and compliance.
Working in partnership with the local dental providers maximises
what a specialist service can do for the community. Richard and
the team would like to thank their Wirral colleagues and patients
for all the support they offer the practice and hope they enjoy the
use of their new facilities.
