TIM COGLEY FOUNDATION
FUNDRAISNG EVENING
Hot on the hooves of their Randox Health Grand
National partner, The Tim Cogley Cardiac
Screening Foundation rode another winner on
Friday 12th with the inaugural RACE NIGHT at
the glorious setting of Thornton Hall Hotel.
A packed house of punters, drawn from as far
afield as London, Lichfield, Wrexham, Rainhill
and even Heswall and Gayton, enjoyed a great
night with family, friends and supporters, raising
in excess of £3700 for the charity.
Tim’s Mum and Trustee, Sheila, told Wirral Life,
"Without the whole team pulling together, the
charity just couldn’t have been as successful as it is.
The support of Tim’s friends is awe-inspiring and
offers a message of hope to others that it’s possible
to achieve any goal with the right teamwork. We
feel we’re part of an ever-expanding family! Tim
would have been utterly amazed and so proud of
the Foundation’s initiative in preventative health."
Commenting on the night, Fellow Trustee Daisy
Jones said, “It’s fantastic to see such support for
this new fund-raising event.” Mirroring Frank
and Sheila’s words on the evening, Daisy added,
"It’s this friendship group that’s at the core of the
Foundation’s success and it so reflects all that was
good about Tim’s life and his continuing impact
and influence on the area."
700 young men and women aged 18-39 have
already been screened, and this Race Night
funding will be put to very good use in the next
screening phases.
