May 4th, 2018- Foster Fest- (Dothan, AL) Down-
town Dothan's Foster Fest is held the first Friday in April
through October each year. This is a free downtown
evening celebration with street vendors, live music, an-
tique cars and much more. The 100 blocks of North and
South Foster Street will be closed to through traffic so
citizens can leisurely stroll and enjoy the shops, vendor
booths, festivities, music, food and refreshments. For more

May 4th-Drivin' and Cryin'- (Dothan, AL) Live at The
Opera, in partnership with The Plant and DDRA, wel-
comes Georgia rockers DRIVIN N' CRYIN' to Dothan
Friday May 4 . Kevn Kinney and crew (including ac-
claimed former Sturgill Simpson lead guitarist Laur
Joamets, aka "Little Joe") bring their unique brand of south-
ern rock to the Wiregrass for a night in downtown Dothan.

May 5th, 2018-Yatta Abba Day-(Abbeville, AL) Yatta
Abba is the Creek Indian expression for "Grove of Dog-
woods." The Abbe Creek derived its name from the In-
dian word, and hence the town of Abbeville. Each year
the community celebrates the beginning of spring and the
blooming of the dogwoods with a local festival filled with
entertainment, garden items, art, crafts, children's activi-
ties, and lots of food vendors. An antique car show will
also be held. A street dance the night before at the com-
munity center kicks off the event. Blue grass, gospel, pop,
and country music fill the air. Trivia contests during the
day offer great prizes to participants. This special day is a
day for a lovely small community to celebrate its roots and
welcome visitors with open arms.

May 19th, 2018-Daylilly Art and Garden Festival-
(Headland, AL) The Daylily Art & Garden Festival is
an expansion of the original Daylily Festival that ran for
26 years in Headland. While still promoting the tradi-
tional significance of local daylily growers, the event also
incorporates and promotes local art by featuring a stu-
dent art contest and exhibit inside the beautiful park of
Headland’s downtown square. Vendors and exhibitors
relevant to the event theme are set up around the square
including artists, garden-themed crafts, farmer’s mar-
ket, plants, gardening products, conservation and green-
living. The event also includes jazz and acoustic musical
entertainment, children’s hands-on art and gardening
activities. Local daylily growers Bush Gardens also con-
duct garden tours during the hours of the event. 10-3
