Even before the Brexit vote on June 23rd 2016 there was much talk about its effect on diminishing the UK economy in all sectors including manufacturing if we were to leave the EU . With the vote to leave it is now claimed that it is the ‘ uncertainty ’ which is more of an issue than the fact that we are leaving the EU .
Despite the uncertainty , the reality of the outcome is that the UK is still a great place to live , work and invest ! With the fall in the value of sterling against other currencies , return on investment coupled with follow on benefits of highly competitively priced exports , the UK actually moves to become an even more attractive place to invest .
All this was demonstrated a few weeks ago by the announcement from Nissan who plan to grow their UK facilities and manufacture a further two models of car at their Sunderland Location . And more recently , by the likes of Google , Apple and Facebook all investing more in their UK operations .
