Acting Private and Small Group Lessons
Children ’ s Theatre Co . instructors provide one-on-one or small group instruction for actors of all ages ! The goals of these lessons are to develop , nurture , and perfect the skills necessary to get to the next level in acting and performing . Students learn about a variety of topics such as audition etiquette , monologue preparation and musical theatre dance . The program ' s goal is to help the students create and develop the necessary skills needed to increase their confidence , knowledge and chances of continuing in the performing arts . Lessons are 45 minutes and are customized for each student ’ s learning and development . Registration fee is per student for a 4-week session . Pod Performers | Ages 4 + Call us to schedule a small group class just for you and your friends . Led by an instructor , pod performers select from show options such as Mulan or Peter Pan , rehearse , and prepare a showcase performance for family and friends to celebrate their creativity on stage ! Musical Theatre Tots | Ages 3-5 Students will delight in performing " under the sea " with Ariel and her aquatic friends . Join us in a musical journey helping them while singing , dancing and acting along the way . Students will perform in 4 songs and dances and receive 3 lines each in a final recorded performance . Students make new friends , connect to the musical theatre , and build a community among young artists . Theatre helps young children develop social , language , physical , and cognitive skills . Musical Theatre Workshop | Grades 1-5 A weekly musical theatre workshop culminates in a showcase featuring age-appropriate excerpts from smash hit movie musicals ! Students learn the basics of vocal technique , choreography , and acting while working together to produce an in-class performance for family and friends . Showcase classes are only six weeks long and are a great way for young artists to develop their talents , foster self-confidence , and grow in social skills and team building . Grades 1-5 Time to think on your feet and jump into character ! Join us for this spontaneous , fast paced , and exhilaratingly creative class ! Learn improv skills while building scenes , developing characters , and cueing your imagination . The only materials required for this fun class are an open mind and a sense of adventure ! For more than two decades , the Children ’ s Theatre Company has provided musical theatre and dance classes for ages 2½-18 year olds . Our goal is to excite and embolden our students to generate their own imaginative ideas through the performing arts . Most importantly , we want your children to feel empowered . Our programs are designed around creating staged musical theatre performances through the voices , visions , and ideas of our students .
