What is your current position?
I’m the current LaMoure County State’s
Attorney. I also have a private practice in
LaMoure, N.D. I’m involved with the Southeast
Bar Association as vice president as well.

What is your hometown, college attended, and
law school attended?
I’m originally from Valley City, N.D. I attended
Valley City State University, where I majored
in English. I graduated from the University of
North Dakota School of Law in 2012.
What professional work did you do before law
school?
Before law school, I worked for Otter Tail Power
Company on their wind energy projects. I also
worked in my family’s property management
business for several years.
What led you to a career in law?
For as long as I can remember, I’ve always wanted
to be an attorney. My uncle, Leo Beauclair, was
an attorney in Bismarck for many years. He was
definitely my inspiration, although I ventured into a
different area than he did.
How long have you been on the SBAND Board?
I’m brand new to the board! I was appointed at the
September meeting.
What is your favorite quote?
Time waits for no one.
What is the last book you read
(good or bad)?
I’m currently reading The Boy Who Was Raised as a
Dog as part of a local coalition project. However,
the last actual book I read was a Frozen book, to my
daughter, because we love Olaf.
