Jim spoke eloquently about how the
United States of America is a nation built
upon the concept of equal justice for all.
We pledge allegiance to our flag “with
liberty and justice for all.” The words
“Equal Justice Under Law” are etched
on the U.S. Supreme Court building.
Alexander Hamilton said the first duty of
society is justice. We, at LSND, truly wish
every attorney in this state could have
heard him speak, because the passion
Jim conveys for the mission of legal aid
cannot be replicated in writing.
It was an honor to have Jim join us in
Bismarck. It was an honor to have our
esteemed guests Chief Justice Gerald
VandeWalle, President Jack McDonald,
and Executive Director Tony Weiler take
time from their Saturday morning to join
us. LSND is honored to be part of the
equal justice mission.
