As kids, they vacationed with their families, and when they had children of their own, they made it a point to travel with them at least once a year. Now that their kids are grown and they’ve both retired, the couple con- tinues to see the world. The easy-going travellers particularly love sailing aboard CAA President’s Cruises. Hosted by CAA Manitoba president, Mike Mager and his wife, Gail, the cruises feature some of CAA’s most memorable itineraries and exclusive shipboard amenities. As CAA members for over 25 years, the Warbecks have used CAA’s travel services to book cruises to the East Coast, Baltics, Hawaii, Egypt, Turkey and Greece. “They give you a great overview of places you likely wouldn’t see on your own,” Joan says, adding that CAA Travel consultants are available to help before, during and after each trip. “Joan and Jim have been very loyal 18 winter 2017 CAA Manitoba and passionate CAA travellers,” says Karen Wiggett, CAA’s group travel manager. “They’ve made many new friends over the years travelling with us, which is certainly one of the biggest benefits of travelling within a group.” The couple also appreciates the extra attention offered on CAA departures. During one trip, some rough baggage handling by an airline left the couple with a broken suitcase. But their CAA Travel consultant arranged to get them a new piece of luggage while they were still on the ship. “CAA looks after you so well. It’s those little things that keep us coming back,” Joan says. The President’s Club loyalty program gives past President’s Cruise guests like Joan and Jim added benefits, including early booking, on-board experiences, exclusive excursions and private dinners. For the Warbecks, the next cruise is always on the horizon. They’ll soon sail to Australia and New Zealand, where adventure surely awaits. caamanitoba.com/presidentscruise Brandon: Unit C-305 18th St. N.
