YOUNG LAWYER SHOWCASE
The SBAND Young Lawyers Section ( YLS ) continues to grow and prosper , and we hope to continue our successful involvement in our communities in 2017 .
The YLS Community Service Committee will host the Fourth Annual Feed Your Community Food and Fund Drive this spring . YLS will once again partner with the Great Plains Food Bank to help feed those in need in our local communities . YLS is excited to continue this worthwhile event this spring . ABBAGAIL GEROUX
Abbagail Geroux is an associate with Dalsted & Ryan P . C . in Jamestown , handling civil , criminal , and municipal matters . She is licensed to practice in both North Dakota and Massachusetts .
Geroux graduated magna cum laude from the University of Jamestown in 2009 , majoring in Spanish and communication . She went on to attend law school at New England Law , Boston . During law school , Geroux was a comment and note editor for the New England Journal of Civil and Criminal Confinement . She interned in the legal department for the Massachusetts Department of Telecommunications and Cable . She was also chosen for a semester-long internship for the Chief of Prosecutions for the Special Tribunal of Lebanon , an international court located in The Hague , Netherlands . She subsequently graduated with honors in 2012 .
After graduation , Geroux was chosen for a Fellowship at the Center for Law and Social Responsibility at New England Law , Boston . Later , she worked in the area of immigration law in the Boston area and returned to North Dakota in the fall of 2015 .
She enjoys spending time with family , participating in choir , and going to University of North Dakota hockey games .
