SHOWCASE LUKE HECK RACHEL PRUDHOMME Luke Heck is an associate attorney at Severson, Wogsland, & Liebl, P.C. in Fargo. Luke’s primary focus is in criminal defense, where he advocates for his clients in North Dakota, Minnesota, and the Federal District of North Dakota. Rachel Prudhomme is an associate with Galstad, Jensen & McCann, P.A., in East Grand Forks, Minnesota.  She practices in the area of family law as well as serving as the City Prosecutor for the City of East Grand Forks.  Rachel also serves as a mediator for the North Dakota Family Court Mediation Program. Originally from Jamestown, North Dakota, Luke attended Jamestown College, where he graduated with a B.A. in Business Administration, with focuses in Economics and Global Business. Luke then proceeded to law school at the University of St. Thomas School of Law in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where he graduated in 2011. While at the University of St. Thomas School of Law, Luke spent three years as a certified student attorney with the First District Public Defender’s Office in Chaska and Shakopee, Minnesota. Luke is a member of the North Dakota Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the American Association of Premier DUI Attorneys. In his free time, Luke enjoys spending time with his wife, Holly, and daughter, Elsie, along with watching sports and movies, continuing to play amateur basketball for the firm’s basketball team (to his teammates dismay), and also enjoys spending time at his family’s lake cabin near Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. Originally from Rochester, Michigan, she graduated from Northern Michigan University with a Bachelors of Social Work in 2002. Prior to attending law school, she worked in the field of child protective services in the states of Arizona and Michigan and later in accounting at Arctic Cat, Inc., upon her relocation to northwestern Minnesota. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of North Dakota School of Law in the winter of 2013, where she received the 2012 Jack Marcil Scholarship for her outstanding dedication to Alternate Dispute Resolution and the Fall 2012 Moot Court Competition Best Oralist - Petitioner. In the Fall of 2014 Rachel was elected as the Ward 5 representative on the city council in Thief River Falls, Minnesota. She is also serving as Vice President of the 14th District Bar Association in Minnesota and is a member of the Greater Grand Forks Bar Association.
