Metric conversion chart Tricks to remember easily
What do you do when you blank out during an exam ? Curse yourself for forgetting what you have learnt ? Well , you don ’ t have to do that anymore , because Winspire will help you out . Here are some tricks that we came across that will make remembering things a lot easier !

Kilo- 1000 units
Hecto- 100 units
To convert to a larger nit , move decimal point to the left or divide .
Deca- 10 units

1 . Find a pattern : Whenever you come across a huge piece to learn which is in a sequence , try to find a pattern . Associating a lot of information to a set word or an image , helps you recall better . For instance , the measurement chart goes :
Kilo-Hecta-Deca-Metre-Deci-Centi-Mili
A lot of us get confused while doing these conversions . We forget how many tens or hundreds come between these values . Remember , that the difference between each value is that of 10 . Now as you move further , add a zero . So , Kilo to Hecta is 10 units . Kilo to Deca is 100 units .

3 . Sticky Notes : If the above methods aren ’ t for you , then try this . Get coloured ‘ Post-It ’ s or page markers . Write what you don ’ t want to forget and put it up on your table or cupboard . Or let it be on the particular chapter you ’ re studying . Try using different colours of paper and pen for this . This will help you link the topic to your colour code .
