Jallikattu - Should the ban continue ? Last Date : 20 Feb 2017

Jallikattu , a traditional sport of Tamil Nadu was banned in 2014 by Supreme Court , upholding concerns raised by activists who said the Jallikattu amounted to cruelty to animal besides posing a threat to humans . But with the major outrage in the state over the past few days demanding to lift the ban on Jallikattu the Tamil Nadu Government has bought in an ordinance allowing the people to go ahead and conduct the traditional sport , despite Supreme Court ( SC ) orders to ban the same .
• Essays must be neatly handwritten in A4 size paper by the participant on one side of the paper .
• Essays should not exceed 1,000 words . All entries should bear a covering letter with the name of the participant , photo , age and class in which the student is studying , with contact phone number with STD code .
• The essay should be signed by head of the institution or class teacher or parent and send the scan copy through the mail to winspiremagazine @ gmail . com .
• The last date for entries is February 20 th .
• 5 best essays will be published along with the student ’ s photograph . Selection will be based on originality , vocabulary , structure and thought process .
• The first , second and the consolation prizes will be given to you on behalf of WINSPIRE Educational Solutions Pvt . Ltd .
