We have grown from producing 10 packets a day in 2005 , with just my cousin managing the kitchen , to 50,000 packets a day with 1,100 employees in 10 years .
After returning to India , Mustafa pursued the executive MBA programme at Indian Institute of Management , Bangalore . It was during this course that he decided to take a plunge into entrepreneurship . Mustafa ' s cousins - Sanshudeen T . K ., Abdul Nazer , Jafar T . K . and Noushad T . A . - ran a kirana shop in Thipassandra , a Bangalore suburb . " I would sit in the shop on weekends and holidays . After IIM , I could have got a job anywhere , but I decided to be on my own ," says Mustafa . Sitting in the shop Mustafa would notice women buying batter for idlis and dosas . In spite of the poor quality of the batter and irregular supply , it used to fly off the shelves . This gave him the idea to enter the packaged food business for which he dipped into his Rs 14 lakh savings . With the support of his three cousins he thought of opening a small outlet of making and supplying batter of the dosa . He initially did start with small investment and that they did not expect it to reach so high in profits but from the first day itself , they saw profits . They started the outlet in a small 550 sq . feet area store , two grinders , one mixer and a sealing machine . Advice to aspiring entrepreneurs in his own words
If you have the passion to start something , do it immediately . Don ’ t wait for tomorrow . I had the passion to be an entrepreneur , but it took me a few years to make that decision . I still regret the delay . I wish I had started five years earlier . My words may sound like management jargon , but it is very important to maintain the quality of the product to be successful . The three things that worked for us were that we were in the right city with the right product at the right time .

The profits went high and so did their store got bigger . The dealers were increasing and the staff was hired as well . He joined in 2007 as the CEO of the venture and he looked into every matter . He made sure that the talent from the rural areas crept in and were hired . He wanted to give a chance to all those budding entrepreneurs and so he asked for the staff only from the rural areas . From the batter of dosa , they started with idli and wada batter as well , and eventually with parathas . By 2012 , the company expanded and started outlets in Chennai , Mumbai , Mangalore , Pune and Hyderabad . He even did start an outlet in Dubai but was unable to match the demand of the public .
The 100 crore company gave attention to the Indian market . The daily packages of batter increased from 10 packets a day to 50000 packets a day in the span of 10 years . All he wants to say to the public is to don ’ t let that time to wake you up and rather stand up on your own , choose the right time , place and thing and let the creative person in you grow . Success is always tied with hard work and passion . Make sure that you be where you wish to and stand above all .
