The Glitz and Glam

While doing homework, dealing with after school activates and trying to
find time to maintain a social life, it is safe to say that high school is no walk in the
park. We strive for who we want our future selves to be. After four years of
knowledge and repetitive learning techniques we start to grow dreary of going back to
school for the same routine, but there is always that one day after all the struggle that
we strive for… Prom. A day we use to get glamorous and turn up our beauty to a level
some of our classmates have never seen before. Time for the glitz and glam. Although
some may have the luxury to get their makeup done professionally others either don’t
have the funds or choose to do it on their own. Some may already have the skills to
obtain a perfectly airbrushed face. For those who don’t, here are some helpful steps
and ideas to get you on your way. From knowing your products to knowing your own
skin type and how to use them properly.
Skin Types
First thing first, you are going to have to determine your own skin type in order to
know what to buy and how to apply. There are three basic types of skin: Oily, Dry, and
Combination. The model I used has combination type skin. After proper cleansing and
moisturizing it is always best to prime the face with any primer that you choose best. I
used Baby Face by Maybelline. Face primer is best for all skin types and is highly
recommended for long lasting wear of your foundation. To determine what type of
skin you have after cleansing your face take a moment to look into the mirror and
notice and shiny or oily spots or any dry patches. Acne can appear on either type of
skin and the person shou
